Math on CanvasBETA
Online workspace for visual math: graphs, figures, formulas, all on one canvas.
For those who teach and learn math

Online math diagram and formula editor

Your math diagrams: simpler, faster, clearer.

Build geometry figures, 3D solids and LaTeX formulas on one canvas, then export a print-ready PDF. Start from a ready-made diagram in the catalog and adapt it to your lesson, or draw your own from scratch. Everything runs in the browser: nothing to install, no account required.

What's inside
  • Visual formula editor with live preview — no LaTeX required.
  • 3D solids: cube, prism, pyramid, sphere, cone, cylinder — rotate them with the mouse.
  • 13 plane shapes: polygons, circles, sectors, angle markers, polylines.
  • Math symbol palette: nine categories, from Greek letters to calculus.
  • Multi-page documents in A4, US Letter or 11×17 poster format.
  • Export to PDF, SVG or PNG — one page, a range, or the whole document.

Workspace for visual mathematics
Formula posters

Colour-coded formula posters at any size.

Geometry posters

Geometric constructions at any size — from a cheat sheet to a poster.

Formulas

A LaTeX formula editor, plus a library of the formulas used most often in school.

Multi-page documents

Handouts, tests and worksheets with different page orientations.

3D solids

Pyramids, prisms, cones, cylinders and spheres with labeled vertices, positioned however you like.

Math puzzles for younger students

Combining symbols, pictures and other decorative elements.

Print-ready page

Export to PDF, SVG, PNG.

Poster printing

A project created with Math on Canvas can be printed as a poster.

Why teachers use it

Tools that keep handouts readable and printable at any scale.

Visual formula editor

No need to know LaTeX. Type in a math field with live preview, then restyle, rotate and move the formula anywhere on the canvas.

3D solids you can turn

Cube, prism, pyramid, sphere, cone and cylinder rotate in real time with the mouse. Label the vertices and set face opacity so the back edges stay readable.

Geometry that stays precise

Polygons, circles, sectors, polylines, angle and side markers — snap-to-grid keeps every diagram aligned while you work.

Math symbols in text

A dedicated palette inserts π, ≅, ∈ and hundreds of other symbols straight into text — nine categories, no code hunting.

PDF without quality loss

Everything is vector, so a board poster and a student handout print sharp from the same source file.

PDF, SVG and PNG

Export the whole document, a page range, or a hand-picked set of pages. Several pages come back as a ZIP archive.

Multi-page documents

Tasks and answers in one file, each page with its own format and orientation. Print only the pages you need.

Formula library

Algebra, geometry and trigonometry presets — start from a common formula and adapt it instead of typing it from scratch.

From idea to handout in four steps

No setup, no learning curve — the first diagram takes a few minutes.

  1. Open the editor

Start in the browser as a guest. Nothing to install, no account required.

  2. Place your figures

Pick shapes, 3D solids and formulas from the palettes, or open a diagram from the catalog as a starting point.

  3. Adjust the details

Colors, stroke styles, angle markers, vertex labels, fonts — every element has its own properties panel.

  4. Export and print

Save a print-ready PDF, or an SVG or PNG to drop straight into your slides.

Who it's for

One canvas, three very different ways of using it.

School teachers

Worksheets, board posters and test papers with the exact figures and wording your class needs.

Private tutors

Quick one-off diagrams for a single lesson, saved as a source file you can reuse next time.

Students

Clean figures for coursework and presentations, exported as SVG so they scale without going blurry.

What's coming in Pro

These features already live in the editor and unlock with the Pro plan.

  • AI assistant — describe a formula or a whole document in plain words and have it generated.
  • Cloud storage — your documents available on every device.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an account?

No. The editor opens in guest mode and keeps your work in the browser. An account is only needed to save source files you can come back to later.

Do I need to know LaTeX?

No. Formulas are typed in a visual math field with live preview, and the formula library covers the most common algebra, geometry and trigonometry cases. If you do know LaTeX, you can edit the source directly.

Can I print at poster size?

Yes. Choose the 11×17 poster format, or set each page to A4 or US Letter, portrait or landscape. Everything is vector, so it stays sharp at any size.

Can I edit a diagram later?

Yes. With a free account you can save the document as a source file and import it back into the editor whenever you need to change something.

Is it free?

Yes. The full editor, every shape and formula tool, and export to PDF, SVG and PNG are free to use. A Pro plan with AI generation, cloud storage and sharing is coming.

Can I use the diagrams in my own materials?

Yes. Whatever you build is yours — use it in handouts, slides, tests and printed materials, at school or in private lessons.
